have to uninstall the software on your desktop … go to search for folders or search and search for it, uninstall the software from your computer.

right click the bar that its on and untick google
If you want to uninstall it, go to the Control Panel and into Add/Remove Programs. You’ll find the Google Taskbar listed in there.
If you just want to turn it off, you can just go into Internet Explorer and click Tools,Toolbars, and then click on Google Toolbar and it will turn the toolbar off.
Right click on an open space on your tool bar (for example, just a little to the right of “Help”). A drop down menu will appear that has a list of items that are available as your toolbars in Internet Explorer. Left click on Google and it will unselect it (making the checkmark go away), and the Google task bar will go away.
Go to your yahoo or whatever site you want on the bar. There is a place somewhere in that area that asks if you want this to be your home page, click yes. That is the easiest way for me.
